There’s another video elsewhere on YouTube that explains the glitches that speedru
ns like this one exploit. It’s pretty mind-boggling, not just because these glitches exist and can be used to execute these feats, but also because using these bugs in the game and stitching them all together is actually pretty damn difficult
in itself.

Summoning Salt has some great videos breaking down speedruns, maybe he’s who you’re talking about? He goes really in depth about the history of the particular game’s record as well as explaining the glitches/ mechanics people use.
